Suncoast Catholic Ministry is hosting the 12th annual men's conference and Spirit FM is hosting the 7th annual women's conference.

As a Church, we are committed to accompanying all women, including those experiencing unplanned pregnancies or considering abortion. One way that we have been serving pregnant women and their families is through the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ initiative Walking with Moms in Need, which connects parishioners with volunteer opportunities at community pregnancy resource centers.

You are invited to the lighting of our parish Christmas tree and ornament exchange to be held on Thursday, December 16, 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. in the Conesa Center. Bring an ornament to share and receive one yourself. We will pray for the family from whom we’ve received our ornament. We are planning on serving seasonal beverages, listening to Christmas music, and enjoying one another’s company as we prepare for the birth of our Lord.

Join us Monday, December 6 at 7:00 P.M. as Prince of Peace will be hosting the Southeast Deanery Prayer and catechesis synod session. This is part one of the deaneries two-part Synod session. Attendees will be given a brief history of the synod, guided prayer and meditation, the questions the Holy Father is asking, and what steps there are moving forward with the synod.

Prince of Peace is excited to welcome special guest Father Jonathan Stephanz to provide an afternoon of reflection this Advent. Join us on December 18th to hear reflections on the incredible season of Advent and prepare your hearts for the great invasion of the Lord in your life and in the world around you. The Prince of Peace community came together to wish our very own Bryan Mando a happy retirement. Bryan has served as Facilities Supervisor for almost 8 years and is a beloved member of the staff and parish community. Bryan will be missed by all for his hard work, dedication, and his joyful personality.

November 2nd, the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed, dovetails with November 1st, the feast of All Saints. The saints, our models of Christian living, are one with God in heaven. All the faithful departed are those who have died with hope and trust in a loving God who calls us to greater growth and development, even beyond death. This growth and development occurs in a state of being that we have traditionally called purgatory.

We have bishops, martyrs, teachers, doctors, former thieves and prostitutes, politicians and kings, soldiers and pacifists, single mothers, desert hermits ? the list goes on! On this Solemnity of All Saints, we remember this garden of holiness, rich with diverse flowerings of a holy life.

With a tornado watch in place for most of the day, things were looking bleak for the annual Trunk or Treat event which is typically held outside. But with some hard work from parish staff and Gannon students, the children who attended were greeted with plenty of candy and loads more fun!

On Wednesday morning several parishioners renewed their consecration to Mary in a small ceremony after Mass. These parishioners were then given a scapular.

Prince of Peace is hosting a drive thru donation event to help support the La Esperanza clinic. This donation event will be held on November 10th from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. at the Conesa Porte Cochere.

Gannon University students are sponsoring the annual 'Trunk or Treat' event for youth in our area. This fun event will take place in the POP parking lot on October 28th from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M.

In the Diocese of St. Petersburg, 40 Days for Life will take place september 22- October 31. It is a peaceful initiative consisting of 40 days of prayer and fasting, peaceful vigil at abortion facilities, and educational outreach, with the goal of protecting mothers and their children from abortion.
