Knights of Columbus Origin & Mission
Grand Knight Mission & Vision
ORIGIN
The Knights of Columbus (K of C) is a global Catholic fraternal service order founded by Blessed Michael J. McGivney on March 29, 1882 under the principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism. Membership is limited to practicing Catholic men over the age of 18 and led by Patrick E. Kelly, the order's 14th Supreme Knight.
OUR MISSION
Together, we’re empowering Catholic men to live their faith at home, in their parish, at work and in their community.
Our council accomplishes our mission through a plethora of events that support our "Faith in Action Programs" at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church parish, local community, state, and national level.
A few examples of our "Faith in Action Programs" include:
- Pilgrim Icon Program – Sacred Heart of Jesus Icon
- Food for Families - Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church Food Pantry
- Global Wheelchair Mission
- Special Olympics
We ask our Parish Catholic men to accept the Lord’s invitation to become a member of the Knights of Columbus, to have an impact to our Parish, Community and Council.

Mission: To inspire Catholic men to live their faith and better serve their families, church, community and country through the principles of our Order. Inasmuch, we strive to live as men of faith, devoting our lives in service to others and our God.
Vision: Guided by the principles of charity, unity and fraternity, we will continue to encourage our Catholic brothers to join our efforts in helping others. Facilitating strong faith formation, developing a deeper knowledge of Christ and His church, will help us fulfill our mission.
