Prince of Peace’s Health Ministry invites you to join us on a virtual pilgrimage! A pilgrimage to walk, run, swim or exercise your way virtually along the Camino de Santiago trail beginning in France and ending in Spain.
The Camino de Santiago (Walk of St. James) is a route of medieval origin that arose from the discovery in the early Middle Ages of the tomb of Apostle Santiago (St. James) in the early Middle Ages. Since then, the city of Santiago de Compostela, where his remains are found, became a city of pilgrimage and one of the capitals of Catholicism. Apostle Santiago (St. James) is the patron saint of Spain and all pilgrims.
The virtual pilgrimage will last for 33 weeks, representing the 33 stages of the Walk, and will commence on Sunday, November 2nd, concluding on Sunday Jun 21st. Early every Sunday morning, you will receive via email inspirational meditative prayers, health tips and colorful photos capturing each of the 33 stages of the route. Your virtual miles, accumulated each week, will be added to our team’s total. Together we will help each of us gain greater health, spiritual strength and an understanding of this important Catholic pilgrimage.
Note: if you joined us on this pilgrimage in 2020, we strongly encourage you to join us again! If you were unable to join in 2020, now your chance. The good news is that it is totally free!!
If you'd like to join the Health Ministry for their pilgrimage, please register on-line at: www.popcc.org/camino
Looking forward to an adventure with you!
