Mary’s Helpers will host Hospitality Sunday after each Mass on November 2 in Conesa Center. We will be collecting items needed by Tampa Hope, a ministry to the homeless under the auspices of Catholic Charities. * Located in Tampa east of Ybor City, Tampa Hope currently serves more than 250 homeless adults with the goal of helping them become self-sufficent in permanent housing. The nonprofit currently has 91 tents and 100 cottages. Since its inception in 2022, Tampa Hope has served more than 1,550 clients, and has placed 563 people in housing after their stay. The center provides complete care to clients, including bathrooms and showers, a kitchen to prepare meals, a communal dining area, laundry facilities, and spaces for medical care, life skills training and counseling as well as shelter.
Items much needed include:
• Travel Size Toiletries
• Toothpaste Bathroom Towels (hand and bath)
• Deodorant Pillows (new)
• Shampoo Twin or Twin Long Bed sheets
• Soap Twin of Twin Long blankets
• tissues
• shower sandals (flip flops for men and women)
• Visa gift cards in the amount of $20 will be appreciated to help purchase coffee, drinks, snacks, bowls and cutlery, games and puzzles.
Please bring all donations to Conesa Center on November 2. We appreciate your generosity in helping the homeless.
